2001/Y Alfa Romeo 156 Veloce 2.0 Twin Spark Manual Sportswagon Estate

This is a lovely reliable and extremely practical estate with the stunning looks you would expect from the Italians (with reliability you would expect from the Germans).

The car is fully serviced and had the cambelts (both the main belt and the balancer belt), all tensioners and idler wheels and the variator, plus the MAF sensor replaced about 10k miles ago (14 months roughly). The engine runs without fault and is very quick while still providing sensible economy. The gearbox is silky smooth and clutch excellent. The brakes work perfectly and the car has just had both front upper wishbones replaced too. It has 4 almost new tyres (2 are new). The car really needs nothing to provide many more years of happy service.

The interior is full leather (Italian Leather Momo seats) which are extremely comfortable and only show minor signs of wear on the drivers seat bolster. There are no rips obviously.

The rear load area has a pull-out cover which works perfectly and even includes a dog guard which pulls out and clips to the roof rails (although this has never been used).

The car has the usual minor stone chips and small dinks and a a couple of areas that the paint is showing its age a little - but the car is still very presentable and you need to look hard to find any real issues. I just thought I would explain everything. There is the usual and very common Alfa suspension knock over big bumps from the front. Both upper wishbones have been done, so its likely a trackrod end or something (nothing major as it only just passed its mot with flying colours).

It comes with a CD Changer but it may need a clean as its very fussy what discs it plays. The radio works fine. The AC needs a regas.

The car has a towbar fitted (although we have never used it), so this offers unrivaled practicality. I have shown how the tailgate opens right into the roof to make easy access for loading and unloading (you don\'t bump your head). The rear seats go down flat so you have an even bigger space if you need it too.

This is my sisters car and I am selling it for her. She has owned it for about 18 months and it has proved extremely reliable and never let her down. She is only selling due to an upgrade.

This is a used family car so expect the usual marks and signs of use, but it is very clean and presentable and extremely reliable, so perfect as a family car with something different to offer - fun! Yes, these Alfas are real fun to drive. They handle like go-carts, go like a sports car and seat 5 in comfort with a large easy to use trunk area too. What more could you want?

The car is available to view any time. The tax expires at the end of this month, so a quick sale wanted although we can retax for you if you cover the cost. It has a long mot (Feb 2011), 4 almost new tyres and needs nothing in my opinion. The price is a BARGAIN but we are open to any sensible cash offers if you can collect quickly.

Terms are cash on collection only. Why not come and view the car and we\'ll discuss things from there. The car is available to view in Eastleigh (near Southampton).

If you have any questions you can phone me on 07910 704727 but as this is my sisters car (as mentioned, I am selling it for her) please bare with me depending on the information needed.
